The Matters of the Heart

(my morning reading)… Christmas is a very important time of year. It’s a time of year when the whole world is hearing the message of the birth of Jesus. It’s a time when people are tenderhearted…the perfect time to plant seeds of love in the lives of those you meet.

Sometimes those seeds may just take the form of a kind word in the middle of rush hour shopping. Other times, you may get the opportunity to pray and minister to someone. But whatever the situation, keep a sharp eye out for even the smallest chance to assist people.

I’ve had some outstanding experiences giving a few dollars to someone in need. As they are taking the money, I tell them, “This money is from the Lord Jesus Christ. I serve him. He is the one who instructed me to help you.”

It’s amazing how many people are ready to hear what you have to say when you say it in love. They’re starved for someone to really care. Be that someone this Christmas season. Spread the Word about the peace that’s available in Jesus. Tell about his goodwill toward men.

Who know how many of those small seeds may one day take root and bring one more precious person into the glorious kingdom of God.

This is something good to practice every day of the year and not just during the Christmas holiday. But, right here is a good place to start.

Have an awesome day today on purpose!

The Matters of the Heart

Did you know that the battleground for the problem you’re facing right now is in your mind and on your lips? If you’ll hit the devil with the Word and cast the care of the situation over on God, you will win.

Listen to this though. Hanging onto the Word isn’t always easy. It’s not! The devil knows that if he doesn’t steal it from you, you will use it to enforce his defeat. We fight against Satan with the Word of God.

Don’t be surprised when he sends an evil spirit to exalt itself against the Word of God. If you are sick, he will tell you, “You are not healed, that’s for somebody else. Not you.” When he starts to tell you that kind of thing don’t buy it? Don’t start worrying about it and thinking too hard, and becoming afraid. Stand on the word of God. It’s the word of God that does the work, not the one holding on to it.

The Word of God will work for you just like it worked for Jesus when he walked this earth. He told Satan, IT IS WRITTEN! No matter what the devil tries to tell you, refuse to let go of the WORD. Tell him what is written concerning your situation. Let the Word fight its own fight. It will whip the devil every time.

Get the Word of God down in your heart and let the WORD fight your every battle.

The Matters of the Heart

Isn’t it something how “CHURCH FOLK”, “CHURCH PEOPLE”, those “PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH”, and all of the other names by which we are addressed, are blamed for the failings, fallings, reasons for people not excelling, reasons why people won’t come to church; reasons why people are yet sinning, reasons why people don’t believe in God, BECAUSE of The CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE  IN THE CHURCH.
This is truth! Hear me or don’t hear me. CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH are humans. People who are flesh and blood, fighting against the same demons of those calling us CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH.
The difference is, CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH are sinners saved by grace. They are sinners fighting each and every day to hold on to their deliverance. Trying not to drink again! Trying not to smoke again! Trying not to use drugs again! Trying not to lie! Trying not to cheat! Trying to hold out until God sends their husband or wife and not fornicate! Trying to be faithful to their own husband or wife and not commit adultery! Trying not to do  every other sin that sinners have the privilege of doing and not feeling guilty about it.
You can use US as your excuse to do what it is you want to do because that’s what you want to do. “But that is not going to kick it with God.”
It’s easy to blame CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH, for YOU doing what you want to do. “I’m doing this because those CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH didn’t show me no love.”
NO!!! That’s not a dress I will wear. You will wear that one all by yourself. Your sin will be on you and not because of me. Your going to hell will be because of you, not because of me! Your backsliding will be on you, not because of me!
I have my own things that I must deal with trying to make it in the Kingdom. I must deal with my own flesh, trying to keep it in subjection to God, and make it do what it doesn’t want to do so that I can live Holy.  I want to hear the Lord say, “well done thy good and faithful servant, ENTER IN” for my ownself.
So, when you stand before God, and seeing the times we are living it doesn’t seem to be too far off, the last words spoken over you will not be by a PREACHER, but by GOD. And those words will be because of you and your choices.
The hands of the CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH will not be held responsible for you not doing what God said do…You are on your own!

You make the choices that you make because of you and no one else. You live the kind of life that you live because of you and no one else.
So, CHURCH FOLK, CHURCH PEOPLE, and those PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH, make sure that your life is in keeping with the word of God. Because the same God that our accusers must stand before, we must also stand. All I want to hear from GOD  saying to me is, “WELL DONE THY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT… ENTER IN!”

The Matters of the Heart

Great things happen when you continually confess the mercy of God. Faith rises up on the inside of you. The reality that God loves you begins to ring out in your spirit. What’s more, it brings honor to your Father when you believe his word and magnify his love and mercy. You honor God when you speak of his goodness and loving kindness, when you talk about him as your Father of love who does only good. It blesses him when you praise him as the great God of the universe who is eager to bless and who even gave his own Son because he so loved the world.
Get the word of God inside of you richly so that you can speak praises out of your spirit. Use the praises of David to magnify God. Speak them, sing them out loud to God.
Put his words continually on your lips. You will soon begin to experience the thrill and the joy of realizing that God is indeed “rich in mercy” because of his great love with which he love us. Your faith will rise to new heights and God will be blessed because of your praise! And you will be blessed too.
Have an awesome day on today. Don’t worry! Believe the word of God and speak it out of your mouth. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
